Jersey Oyster

In its previous incarnation, the Jersey Oyster website was an information resource for trade partners and other oyster farmers.  The Idea Works sought to stimulate trade sales and create a product that could be recognised across Europe.

Our approach was simple, to show how Jersey’s world-class marine environment could create a world-class oyster in the same way that the famous cotils (Jersey Royal fields) produced a world class potato.  Whilst the primary market for sales was UK trade-consumers (restaurateurs, caterers and specialist fishmongers) logistical problems meant that Jersey Oysters could only be sold in the UK via a network of wholesalers.  Our strategy, and the website, sought to generate demand amongst the target market that would then be fulfilled by wholesalers.

We wanted UK foodies to be asking for Jersey oysters in preference to their native or French counterparts.  A recent visit from Marco Pierre White seems to indicate that we are heading in the right direction.

It was nice to have the opportunity to re-visit a previous project focussing on the new technology available and not throwing the baby out with the bath water when systems needed to be upgraded. Jersey Oyster is a great brand and we're proud to be their creative team.
