Founded over 120 years ago, Tantivy Blue Coach Tours have been a family owned business for several generations. Most people in Jersey will recognise these iconic blue coaches and they are probably the first name you’d think of with regard to sightseeing tours. However, in the face of increasing competition, it was time to rethink how they could boost their online sales for their various tours to encourage tourists to visit their website and purchase tickets before they arrived in the Island.
After initial meetings and discussing an online strategy and communications plan, it was agreed that we would help to design and build an all new website, rather than updating an old one… sometimes old technology just isn’t good enough and needs to be replaced.
As well as the look and feel of the new website with ticketing system for tours and another for transfers, integrated seamlessly into the design so that bookings could be made and paid for easily and efficiently online.
The new website is now up and running and visitors can book and pay for hotel transfers to the harbour or airport with a drop down menu to select their hotel. Of course the main selling point is the popular Island Tour or new Open Top Tours or one of the more specialised, niche tours on offer, all with just one day’s notice.
It also seemed an opportune time to re-design the main marketing brochure printed in English and in French as well as other more traditional forms of tourism advertising all driving viewers to the website and a more pleasant customer journey.
The next phase of the marketing strategy will be a package of activities on social media and we wish Tantivy Blue Coach Tours a successful summer season.
