Work Café English Country Garden Arch – Battle of Flowers.

SANTANDER INTERNATIONAL – WORKCAFÉ ENGLISH COUNTRY GARDEN ARCH – BATTLE OF FLOWERS

Project Scope.

In honour of the St Helier Town Takeover at this year’s Battle of Flowers, and in collaboration with our client, Santander International, we transformed the entrance to the Work Café into a striking floral archway. This initiative spanned from conceptual design to installation, working closely with our partners to seamlessly infuse creativity with community spirit.

CONCEPT & DESIGN

Creative Vision & Concept Development
Inspired by the Parish of St Peter’s “English country garden” float, our Creative Director, Martyn Aubert, crafted concepts that harmonised with the town’s floral celebration while complementing the building’s historic character.

Visual Mock-Ups & Sign-off
We produced high-fidelity visual mock-ups of the archway to ensure accuracy in scale, colour palette, and floral variety, allowing for final approval before production began.

PRODUCTION & FABRICATION

Florals & Support Framework
Flora specialist Clara Barthorp of Wilde Thyme curated an arrangement of pink, red, and white blooms designed to mimic the softness and vibrancy of a country garden. We engineered a discreet yet sturdy support structure that preserved the café’s façade integrity.

Materials & Sustainability
Prioritising sustainability, reusable mounting fixtures were used, and seasonal blooms were sourced locally to minimise the carbon footprint while maximising freshness and visual impact.

INSTALLATION & ACTIVATION

Site Coordination
In coordination with our client, Santander International, and the Santander Work Café manager, John Burns, we scheduled installation during off-peak hours to reduce disruption. The arch was assembled and finished over a Sunday to ensure readiness for the next day’s business.

Launch & Reveal
The completed arch created an immediate visual “welcome zone,” drawing in both locals and visitors. Its lush, inviting presence is boosting footfall and engagement at Work Café throughout the festival.

The vibrant display encouraged participation in the Town Takeover, with increased social media interactions and shares. Visitors paused under the archway for photos, adding organic user-generated content to the café’s publicity.

Brand Resonance
The arch amplified The Santander Work Café’s identity in St Helier’s high street, earning votes and local praise for its creative sensibility and floral craftsmanship

Artistry Recognition
This project presented a fresh canvas for both our team and Wilde Thyme, celebrating local talent and generating crosssector buzz— from designers to café-goers.
